Return to CHUUK Lagoon

Don is organising a return Dive Trip to CHUUK for the club in 2017. CHUUK, or Truk Lagoon (also called) has over 60 wrecks, many only recently discovered. Ships, aircraft, battle tanks, vehicles, and a large assortment of World War II armament. Some of them took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor and Midway Island operation. It is the top dive destination in the world, situated in Micronesia.

Don's preferred option is the Truk Siren for 10 days all inclusive diving - information available at: http://www.sirenfleet.com/diving/truk-lagoon.html

The dive package, which includes nitrox, 12 litre cylinder, BCD regulator 3mm shorty, mask fins and boots. manifold twins are available at £10 per day and 12 litre deco rigs at no charge.

Full board is meals, coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks and beers. Expect to do up to 5 dives a day.

For those who have more time I have asked if it is possible for those who wish to add a trip to dive in Palau, which adds up to week to the trip.

The dive costs for 2017 are already set but needless to say flight costs are estimated.

The 10 days diving in Chuuk is £2899 the estimated total cost from Regal, flying via Kuala Lumpar to Manila, Guam and the Weno on the 26th Feb 17, returning to Heathrow on the 13th of March 2017 is £5325.00 plus the marine park cost which you pay personally ($195 in 2014).

For more information contact Don, he is looking for deposits real soon!
